Singing and dancing has been in DaVida Samone’s genetics for generations. It was only natural for her to blossom into the recording artist she is today. While other 3 year old girls admired dolls and tea parties, DaVida admired and looked up to her mother, whom inspire her to sing. She loved to sing along with her mother to one of their favorite songs, “Emotions” by Mariah Carey, all the while other girls her age were only singing jump rope melodies. 

 

When not singing in church with her Grandmother, DaVida was coordinating and styling her very own dances, self teaching herself choreography that she would perform within her neighborhood and loved to dance with her cousins. As she got older, she studied the great singers and performers before her through documentaries in her free time. One day she came across the legendary singer Nina Simone. Learning about this iconic woman inspired DaVida to finally make a name for herself. They both share the same middle name but with different spellings and just like that, DaVida Samone was born into a brand.

DaVida Samone introduced herself to the music industry with her first single titled “Coffee and Cigarettes”, which is available on all digital platforms. As her very first single, it generated great reviews and garnered just under a thousand views within a couple months. She’s currently writing and making more music and has plans to release a project soon.

 

Aside from her childhood performances, having ‘all eyes on her’ wasn’t a new road. DaVida Samone also serves in the United States Army and has done so for 11 years. Once, while stationed in Germany, not long ago, her interest in the music industry found her a position in press. She had the opportunity to interview local artists as well as mainstream artists including Grammy winning Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill. In the near future, DaVida sees herself being the one interviewed along with a collection of singles that will surely reach the charts.

 

Her  beautiful voice, beautiful energy, and beautiful smile are just the obvious ingredients to DaVida Samone’s career. As a singer and Army soldier with a Bachelors in Fashion, she is the perfect package for the music lovers out there.
